Songs go on forever
They carry out a certain rhyme
Songs express the fellings
And they last a long long time
Songs can tell the story of what has happened in the past
And some songs are of the first day
And some songs are of the last

Songs are of the struggle
And there are songs of the pain
there are songs about going far far away and of coming home again
There are songs about feeling lonely
There are songs about feeling sad
And there are songs that can bring back the memories
Of the first few friends you had

Now songs can travel a long way
By the moon and past the sun
And some songs they are sung for new life that has begun
They travel through the nighttime and below the arctic sky
And they can travel with the eagles that fly so high

There are songs that have been around for many years
There are songs that are brand new
There are songs that are just stories
And there are songs for me and you
These songs will go on forever
These songs will travel across the sky
Like the wind and the rain and the ocean
These songs will never die

Now there are songs that are stories
And there are songs that are so true
And the thing that really pleases me is to sing my song for you
There are songs of tomorrow
And songs of today
And some songs they can leave us
And some songs are here to stay
