What have you seen of the world, my brother?
Have you seen the morning sunrise in splendor over a sleeping land?
Have you heard the joyous symphonies of birds in the summer trees?
Or have you known love?
Have you spent nights under the stars?
Or days wandering the world - free as the wind?
How big is your heart?
Where have you been?
What have you seen?
Have you know the unchanged truth?

I will tell you what I have seen, my brother.
I have seen the sun set over a despairing land.
I have seen the birds fly south.
I have known fear.
I have seen the stars fall.
And I have never been free - no one has.
How useless is my cause!
I have been to war.
I have seen death.
I have known the unchanged truth.
